No Regrets/No Sweat

Surfing the Waves Life Sprayed Out the Hose

London wind,
I’ve met you at this dock for years and years.
With fabrics encapsulating the phoenix in my heart,
I’m calmly subdued with your cold/dry kisses which bring me tears.

London wind,
please don’t rage in the decision I’m about to make.
The sea can only hold but so many stories.
Our stories, I long to burn at a California stake.

London wind,
kiss my nose for the last time.
I’m done here and it makes me happy.
Yes, there is another, but you can’t punish me for such a crime.

London wind,
don’t expect me back.
At best, you’ll find another nose to freeze.
Because the warmth I gave you, I’m ready to take back.

London Wind
